Summer and Fall 2011 Kennedy Center Internship Program
The DeVos Institute of Arts Management Internship Program provides valuable on-the-job instruction for current college students (juniors and seniors) and recent graduates pursuing careers in arts management. Interns enjoy close working relationships with experienced arts management professionals, hands-on work opportunities, weekly seminars, and an integrated blend of independent and collective learning experiences. Internship placements, in departments throughout the Kennedy Center, are full-time and last three to four months depending on the program semester.

Summer Internship Program
Program Dates: May 31 - August 5, 2011
Application Deadline: February 25, 2011
Fall Internship Program
Program Dates: September 7 - December 9, 2011
Application Deadline: May 13, 2011
Internships are available in the following departments throughout the center:
- Advertising/Marketing
- Arts Education
- Development
- DeVos Institute of Arts Management
- Institutional Affairs
- Multimedia
- National Symphony Orchestra Administration
- Press
- Programming
- Production
- Volunteer Management
Please refer to summer and fall department listings found on our website below for exact session information.
Benefits include a $225 weekly stipend, college credit (depending on university), and free attendance at Kennedy Center performances, workshops, and events (space permitting). Applicants must be currently enrolled juniors or seniors in undergraduate programs, Master's candidates, or have completed a degree within the past two years.
