Call for Papers for „Creative Urban Development: Culture, Business, Community“
The international scientific practical conference Creative Urban Development: Culture, Business, Community, has published a call for papers. The conference will take place from November 19th till 21st at Kaunas, Latvia. It is organized by Vilnius University - Kaunas Faculty of Humanities and University of Latvia Faculty of Humanities and Faculty of Social Sciences.
Conference topics:
- Contemporary strategies of urban development
- Culture and education in urban development
- Creative city: theory and practice
- Social innovations in modern cities
- Urban communities: communal identities and urban development
- Public spaces and urban development
The conference invites presentations for adiscussion of theory, empirical research and professional practices of urban development: development of creative cities and creativity in developing cities. It welcomes all interested in city economics, management and politics, anthropology and sociology of the city and conceptions of development.
The list of the main topics is not limited, presentations on related topics are also welcome. A planned length of presentations is 15-20 min. followed by 10 min. discussions. The language of the conference is English.
The conference rooms will be equipped with computers, internet access and multimedia.
Extended abstracts will be published in an electronic collection of abstracts with ISBN, and the best conference papers will be published in a reviewed periodical issue Culture and Creativity with ISSN.
The submission of registration form and extended abstract ends on September 15th, 2014. The informations on acceptance of abstracts will be sent our on October 15th, 2014. It is planned to publish the papers in February 2015. The informations on the requirements for paper publishing will be sent to the accepted presenters on October 15th.
