Made in Scotland showcase a resounding success with award wins, international touring interest and critical acclaim

Fourth showcase of world class theatre and dance from Scotland capitalises on international platform at the world's largest arts festival

The Made in Scotland showcase was once again hugely successful, with 12 companies receiving financial support from the Scottish Governments Edinburgh Festivals Expo Fund to bring their work to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. There were six award wins, interest from a wide range of international bookers and all 12 shows were critically acclaimed with every one of the 12 shows receiving four star and many five star reviews.

Award winners included Rob Drummonds Bullet Catch which won a Herald Angel Award. Andy Manley from Catherine Wheels' production of The Ballad of Pondlife McGurk who won a Herald Archangel for his outstanding contribution to children's theatre. Joe Douglas Educating Ronnie received a Scotsman Fringe First and The Static won the coveted Scottish Arts Club Award. Rob Drummond's Bullet Catch was also recognised by the Total Theatre Awards panel winning an award for Innovation, Experimentation & Playing with Form. Thickskin's The Static also received the Three Weeks Editors' Award.

Over 200 promoters from across 15 countries attended Made in Scotland shows and a number of companies are already in discussion about subsequent international touring opportunities. This further builds on the success of Made in Scotland which, since its inception in 2009, has ensured Scottish work has been enjoyed by audiences in 18 different countries around the world from USA to China and Sweden to New Zealand.

Made in Scotland is a curated showcase of high quality performance from Scotland at the worlds biggest arts festival, made possible by support from the Scottish Governments Edinburgh Festivals Expo Fund. It is a partnership between the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, the Federation of Scottish Theatre (FST) and Creative Scotland.
